The World Digital Excellence Award was conferred on INTI International College Penang at the Global AI, Digital and Green Economy Summit 2025, held at The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur.
IICP was recognised for its approach to digital transformation that aligns industry relevance with governance, sustainability, and ethical responsibility. Its initiatives focus on equipping students with the skills, mindset, and awareness needed to succeed in a rapidly evolving global economy.
Through digitally driven learning approaches and industry-aligned curriculum design, students gain exposure to emerging technologies and real-world applications. This ensures that digital advancement supports not only employability, but also responsible and informed use of technology.
Beyond student learning, IICP’s digital strategy also emphasises governance and long-term impact, ensuring that environmental and societal considerations guide innovation.
The summit opened with a welcome address by Tan Sri Michael Yeoh, President of the KSI Strategic Institute for Asia Pacific and President of the World Digital Chamber, who emphasised that artificial intelligence should serve as a strategic enabler of sustainability rather than solely as a productivity tool.
The opening keynote address was delivered by YAB Datuk Amar Haji Fadillah bin Haji Yusof, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation of Malaysia, who highlighted Malaysia’s commitment to leveraging artificial intelligence to modernise energy systems, improve grid efficiency, and support the national low-carbon agenda.
