INTI International College Subang continues to nurture financially literate and industry-ready graduates through real-world learning experiences. Strengthening its partnership with Payments Network Malaysia (PayNet), the operator of DuitNow QR and MyDebit, INTI has empowered its students to turn classroom learning into practical innovation, culminating in the launch of a new PayNet Web App.

Students from the School of Business and Communication participated in a sharing session with PayNet’s Associate Leader Programme associates, who spoke about their campus-to-career experiences.
This collaboration started after INTI students reached the final stage in the PayNet Digital Campus 3.0 competition. Building on that achievement, INTI continued to work with PayNet under the Digital Campus 4.0 initiative, which encourages university students nationwide to explore innovative solutions that support Malaysia’s expanding digital payment ecosystem.
As part of this initiative, students from INTI’s School of Business and Communication (SBC) visited PayNet’s headquarters at Menara Southpoint, Kuala Lumpur, on 4 September 2025. The visit provided valuable insights into how PayNet facilitates secure and inclusive digital payments, playing a key role in Malaysia’s transition toward a cashless economy.
During the engagement, students participated in an interactive sharing session with PayNet professionals who explained the organisation’s role in promoting nationwide digital adoption and financial inclusion. The session helped students gain a clearer understanding of the opportunities and challenges in Malaysia’s developing fintech landscape.

INTI International College Subang’s SBC Dean, Hew Fui Mun, highlighted that industry engagements such as this provide students with direct insights into career opportunities while supporting INTI’s mission to produce industry-ready, globally adaptable, and socially responsible graduates.
“This visit bridges classroom learning with real-world experience. It broadened our students’ understanding of Malaysia’s financial ecosystem and inspired them to see their role in the future of digital payments,” said Natalie Leong, Head of Programme at SBC.
Representing PayNet, Dr Waqas Khalid Obeidy from the Cyber & Technology Risk division emphasised the importance of early exposure to industry practices. “Students are tomorrow’s entrepreneurs and leaders. Engaging them early builds awareness and motivates them to champion digital payments in Malaysia’s cashless journey,” he said.
The collaboration extended beyond learning and became a catalyst for innovation on campus. On 3 October 2025, INTI officially launched the PayNet Web App at its Subang campus. Developed by a team of six SBC students under Natalie’s supervision, the app promotes financial literacy and cashless adoption within the SS15 community.
Designed with user-friendliness and accessibility in mind, the app connects local businesses and students through a secure digital platform that supports QR-based payments and offers vendor listings, rewards, and transaction tracking. The initiative reflects INTI’s emphasis on experiential learning by giving students an opportunity to design, build, and deploy a live digital solution.
When asked how the app evolved from their initial idea in the PayNet Digital Campus 3.0 competition, team vice president Sebastian Yew explained, “After last year’s feedback, we aimed higher. The app evolved into a fully functional platform with a refined user interface, vendor integration, rewards, and real QR payments, turning theory into a live digital ecosystem.”
Team president Ousmane Sow thanked Paynet for ongoing mentorship and financial support. “INTI Pay Network has benefited from essential funding and guidance from PayNet via the Digital Campus 4.0 Competition, helping us stay dedicated to promoting a cashless culture,” he stated.

Dr Jane Lim, Chief Executive of INTI International College Subang, together with team president Ousmane Sow, officiated the launch of the INTI Pay Network Web App.
Hew Fui Mun, Dean of SBC, noted that such collaborations help students link theory to practice. “Industry engagements like this provide direct insights into career possibilities while supporting INTI’s mission to produce industry-ready, globally adaptable, and socially responsible graduates,” she said.
The collaboration with PayNet is another example of INTI partnering with industry leaders to bridge education and enterprise. By creating opportunities for students to work directly with professionals and develop practical solutions, INTI continues to position itself as a university that turns knowledge into action.
